Quail Chicks and Donkey Kicks

As it happened, the quail chicks and guinea keets hatched on the same day – this morning! As I was sitting in the quail cage, staring adoringly at the tiny baby quail and filming them, Layla suddenly started going absolutely mental. See what I have to deal with! 😉

She is so cute and hysterical! My neighbor has 2 mini donkeys, but they are definitely not as energetic and playful as yours. Loved the video!

  7. Love it! We have crazy unexplained Layla kind of moments here too – minus the donkey. Those quail – ADORABLE! I’ve been thinking of getting some for our farm, your video may have been my breaking point! Thanks for sharing. xo kim

Quail are wonderful little creatures! They lay delicious little eggs and are generally adorable! They don’t often brood so that is a special.moment there! I love to see them all protective of their chicks 😍
